Take Our Survey

We want to provide opportunities for professional development, networking, and most importantly, fellowship with professionals, academics, and enthusiasts in the transportation field. Please take our short survey so we know how we are doing.

2018-2019 YPT-NYC Year in Review

October 31st marked the conclusion of another productive year at YPT-NYC. We would like to express our gratitude to all of our members and partners for making the past year such a tremendous success. We organized 18 summer tours (including new additions like Sunnyside Yard, TurnStyle, and 6 1/2 Avenue), and we also launched our mentorship program, as well as facilitated a LinkedIn workshop and coworking events. In addition, we continued organizing our many hikes, happy hours, and networking lunches, as well as game nights, trivia nights, scavenger hunts, and author talks. We look forward to more successful programming in the new year!

Book Club

We are happy to announce our latest book club selection, Policing the Open Road: How Cars Transformed American FreedomAuthor Sarah Seo chronicles how the rise of the car, the symbol of American personal freedom, inadvertently led to ever more intrusive policing—with disastrous consequences for racial equality in our criminal justice system. We will give away a copy of the book to three lucky recipients (details soon) and will schedule a book club discussion in early 2020.

A New Decade

2020 will mark the second decade of YPT NYC’s existence. We look forward to providing inclusive and engaging programming in the coming year. Stay tuned, and see you at our holiday party!
