2026 Summer Tours

Back by popular demand, we’re excited to host our 2026 series of Summer Tours for our YPT-NYC members! We’re partnering with a range of agencies, tour operators, and members like you to organize exclusive, behind-the-scenes tours covering the projects, initiatives, and facilities that keep our city and region moving.

This year, we are releasing tours in waves as YPT-NYC works with our partners on tours and scheduling. The tours scheduled so far are listed below:

Friday, June 12 – 9:30-11:30 AM – MTA NYCT Subway Central Electronics Shop

Sunday, June 28 – 12:30-3:00 PM – Hudson Yards and the High Line with Cullen Brown

Wednesday, July 8 – 6:00-7:30 PM Public Design Commission Archive Tour **NOTE: date changed from July 9 to July 8.

Thursday, July 9 – 11:00 AM-12:30 PM Jamaica Central Control (JCC) Tour

Thursday, July 9 – 4:00-5:30 PM – Gateway Community Engagement Center and Walking Tour

POSTPONED Thursday, July 16, 4:30 PM – 6 PM: Jersey City Sixth Street Embankment Greenway Tour
**Followed by our July Happy Hour in Jersey City with ITE-Met section, which will be open to all.

Wednesday, July 29, 6:15 PM – 9 PM: Port Infrastructure Boat Tour with Open House New York (Tickets are $40, half-off the public price)

Thursday, July 30, 9 AM – 12 PM: LaGuardia Redevelopment and Airfield Tour

Tuesday, August 4 – 8:00 AM-1:00 PM – LIRR Hillside Maintenance Facility Tour
**NOTE: Registration is required in advance to comply with security requirements. You will also need to complete a 2-hour online training. See Eventbrite for more details.

Tuesday, August 25, 2 PM – 4:30 PM: Penn Station Transformation (feat. Andy Byford!)

Capacity for these events is limited. Please only register for the tours you can actually attend. Members will be able to join the waitlist in case the event sells out.
